Use Underscore Character In Your Ghost Blog Articles

If you read my previous article: Force Sublime Text Editor To Use Fixed Tab Spaces, you must have seen that I used many often underscore characters ( _ ). The Ghost blog uses Markdown as editor and Markdown, unfortunately, uses in his syntax the underscore character for its formatting. Therefore, your formatted text on the right side in your editor and your published article will show strange effects. In most of the cases, the underscore will disappear, and the following text will show in italic.

To solve this problem, you have to use the ASCII character _ instead of the regular underscore.

It can happen, that this issue occurs with other characters as well. On the website ascii-code.com, you will find a list with many useful ASCII codes you can use with the Markdown editor of your Ghost blog.
