Fetching Twitter’s User Information With Node.js

Sometimes you need to fetch detailed information about a particular Twitter user, and the most common way is to do this by using the Twitter API. By using the Twitter API you have to create a Twitter application first, set up the keys for the authentification and so on. If you only need the follower or following count, the country, the user image, etc., do it in a more efficient way by parsing the website content of the Twitter user page. Since Twitter puts a very detailed JSON object in a hidden input field of each user page, it’s easy to retrieve Twitter’s user information and more.

The Node.js scripts you can find in one of my Github repositorys. Just follow the instructions from the readme file and get the Twitter user information without using the Twitter-API.
